We are looking for motivated Crane Mechanic Apprentices who want to combine hands-on experience with a strong technical education.

As an apprentice, you will also become part of a workplace where you learn by doing. You will work alongside experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop.

What will you learn?

As a Crane Mechanic Apprentice, you will work with the construction, installation, troubleshooting and repair of truck-mounted cranes and truck chassis.

Modern cranes combine mechanics with advanced electrical, hydraulic and electronic systems, so two days are not quite the same.

During your apprenticeship, you will gain practical experience with:

• Chassis Construction and modification
• Truck-mounted cranes
• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical and electronic systems
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Welding and metalworking
• CAD and technical drawings
• Control and monitoring systems
• Commissioning and calibration
• Safety inspections

You will also learn to use computers and specialist software for diagnostics, commissioning and calibration.

About the programme

The Crane Mechanic programme takes 4 years and combines school-based training with practical apprenticeship training in a company.

The programme starts with Basic Course 2, lasting 20 weeks. You then continue to the main course, where school periods at HEG alternate with practical training in your apprenticeship company.

At the end of the programme, you complete your final trade examination and become a qualified Crane Mechanic.

• Has a legal right to work on Denmark at the start of employment without the need for a work permit
