We are looking for a Maintenance and Repair Associate to join our team responsible for technical operations, maintenance, and repair of server racks and hardware in a global data center environment. The position is initially temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Maintenance and Repair Associate, you will be part of a dedicated 3PL team delivering Value Added Services to an international data center customer. You will handle daily operational tasks, component-level repairs, and technical maintenance while ensuring that all activities comply with the data center’s standards, procedures, and security requirements.
The role requires both independent work and teamwork, as well as a systematic approach to problem-solving in a highly secure and precise environment.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Performing component-level repairs on IT equipment, including server racks and related hardware.
- Carrying out tasks based on instructions provided via the data center’s system tools – prioritized by type and urgency.
- Ensuring proper handling, integrity, and security of sensitive IT components.
- Identifying and reporting equipment or machine issues according to established procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including care of the tools required for the tasks.
- Navigating the data center using signage, structure, and logical thinking to complete tasks efficiently.
- Working independently on technical tasks while also collaborating effectively within the team.
- Participating in ongoing training and applying new maintenance and repair methods in daily operations.
We Expect That You:
- Have knowledge of IT and hardware environments and can distinguish between different hardware components.
- Understand technical instructions, including terminology used in system tools.
- Have good fine motor skills and can work precisely with small and sensitive components.
- Have intermediate English skills—both written and verbal.
- Can work independently but also function well in a team environment.
- Are physically able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, climbing, and pushing/pulling over extended periods.
It Is an Advantage If You Also:
- Have previous experience with computer hardware and a basic understanding of component functions.
- Possess strong problem-solving abilities and can quickly identify when something isn’t functioning correctly.
- Have strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity when working with delicate hardware.
- Are able to follow logical steps and apply rational thinking in technical situations.
